Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you open it. They remember the choices you make, keep the site working as it should and help measure how it is used. slotrave-casino.com (the “Website”) also relies on the browser’s local storage (localStorage), which holds small pieces of information on your device in a similar way but does not send them back to the server with every request. Throughout this page, cookies and localStorage entries are referred to together as “cookies”.
2. The Rules We Follow
Visitors in Finland are covered by the Act on Electronic Communications Services together with the GDPR. Under that Act, information may be stored on, or read from, your terminal device only with your consent, while entries strictly necessary to deliver the service you requested need none; Traficom, the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, publishes practical guidance on how this applies to cookies. Non-essential cookies are therefore set only once you accept them in the banner, we say plainly what we set and why, and you may change your mind whenever you like. Where cookie data can identify you, our Privacy Policy applies too.
3. The Cookies We Use
The Website deliberately gets by with very few cookies:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Strictly necessary (first-party, localStorage) | Records whether you accepted or rejected cookies in the banner, so you are not asked again on every page. | 12 months |
| Session / security | Strictly necessary (first-party) | Keeps the Website working and secure during your visit, including protection against abusive automated traffic. | Session (deleted when you close the browser) |
| Preferences | Functional (first-party) | Remembers choices you make on the Website, such as the language version or display settings, so they stay the same on your next visit. | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Optional (only with your consent) | Not currently used. If analytics is introduced, it will count aggregated page visits and will run only after you accept it in the cookie banner. | Not currently set; would be listed here if introduced |
The Website runs no advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies. Should new cookies be added, this page and the cookie banner are updated first, and consent is requested for anything that is not strictly necessary.
4. Your Choice — the Cookie Banner
On your first visit a banner gives you a clear choice, Accept or Reject, with both options equally prominent. Strictly necessary cookies run either way, because the Website cannot work properly without them and they serve no commercial purpose — that is the exception recognised by the Act on Electronic Communications Services. Everything else runs only if you choose Accept. Your choice is held in the cookie_consent entry for 12 months, after which the banner asks again. To change it sooner, clear the Website’s data in your browser (see section 5) and the banner returns.
5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Your browser settings let you view, block or delete cookies, localStorage included:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site settings → Cookies and site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Every browser maker also publishes step-by-step instructions of its own. Blocking all cookies can stop parts of the Website from working — it will no longer remember, for example, that you have already answered the cookie banner.
6. Third Parties
Information stored by our own cookies is never shared with third parties. When static files such as scripts or style sheets are delivered through a third-party content delivery network (CDN), that provider may technically process your IP address in order to serve the file, and its own privacy policy governs that processing. Any international transfer for which we are responsible is handled in the way our Privacy Policy describes, which for readers in Finland means the GDPR standard applies in full.
7. Complaints
If you think our use of cookies is wrong, contact us first at support@slotrave.com so we can put it right. You may also complain to the supervisory authority — in Finland, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto).
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the law, in regulatory guidance or in the technologies the Website uses. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the latest update shown at the top.
9. Contact
For questions about cookies, or about how we handle personal data generally, write to support@slotrave.com. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
