Privacy Policy
Last updated:
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how slotrave-casino.com (the “Website”, “we”, “us”) collects, stores, uses and shares personal information. This version is written for readers in Australia, so we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (the “APPs”). The Website is read in many countries, and where the law of your own country gives you stronger rights — for example, the EU General Data Protection Regulation for visitors in the EU — those rights also apply.
The Website is an independent information and affiliate publication about the Slotrave gaming platform. We are not a gambling operator: we do not open player accounts, hold funds, take deposits or bets, process payments or verify players’ identities. Those activities are carried out only by the operator of the Slotrave platform, a separate company that handles any data you give it under its own privacy policy. For any question about this Policy, write to support@slotrave.com.
2. The Data We Collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Website, and we collect it fairly and lawfully, directly from you or your device, as APP 3 requires:
- Technical and browsing data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, language settings, screen resolution, the page that referred you, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit.
- Information stored through cookies and similar technologies such as localStorage, as described in our Cookie Policy.
- Information you choose to send us by email — your email address, your name if you give it and the content of your message.
We do not collect sensitive information, financial details or identity documents, and you never need an account on this Website. You can read it without identifying yourself, as APP 2 contemplates.
3. Why We Use It and on What Basis
We use personal information only for the purposes set out below and disclose it only as APP 6 permits:
- running and securing the Website, including preventing abusive or fraudulent traffic — a purpose directly related to providing it;
- replying to messages you send us — the primary purpose for which you provide your contact details;
- aggregated, non-identifying statistics about how the Website is used, only if you accept the relevant cookies — consent, which you can withdraw at any time;
- complying with legal obligations that apply to us — a use required or authorised by law.
We do not sell personal information, we do not send direct marketing under APP 7 and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you.
4. Cookies
The Website uses a small number of cookies and localStorage entries. Where the information collected this way could identify you — for example, an IP address combined with browsing activity — we treat it as personal information under the Privacy Act and this Policy. Full details of what we set, why and for how long, and how to accept, reject or delete cookies, are in our Cookie Policy.
5. Sharing and International Transfers
We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may share limited technical data with service providers who host, maintain or analyse the Website, acting on our instructions under a contract, and we may disclose data to public authorities where the law requires it.
Because the Website is international, some of our providers store data outside Australia. Before any cross-border disclosure, APP 8 requires us to take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient handles the information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, and we rely on contractual commitments supplemented by technical measures. You can ask us which safeguards apply to a particular provider.
6. How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above, unless the law requires longer. As a guide: technical and browsing data is kept for up to 12 months; email correspondence is kept as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and a reasonable period afterwards; cookie and localStorage data is kept for the periods in the Cookie Policy. After that it is destroyed or de-identified, as APP 11 requires.
7. Security and Data Breaches
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure, including TLS encryption of connections to the Website, restricted access to the correspondence we keep, data minimisation and reliable hosting.
If an eligible data breach is likely to result in serious harm, the notifiable data breaches scheme in the Privacy Act requires us to notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and the people affected as soon as practicable; for visitors in the EU, the GDPR’s 72-hour notification rule also applies.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights, free of charge:
- access to the personal information we hold about you and a copy of it (APP 12);
- correction of information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading (APP 13);
- the option to deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym where that is practicable (APP 2);
- a clear explanation of how we collect and handle personal information (APP 1 and APP 5);
- use and disclosure of your information only for the purposes described in this Policy (APP 6);
- to opt out of direct marketing, which we do not currently send (APP 7);
- withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out beforehand.
To exercise any right, write to support@slotrave.com with enough detail for us to identify the data. We reply within 30 days, which may be extended for complex requests.
9. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at support@slotrave.com so that we can put it right. If our response does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC); visitors elsewhere may go to their own data protection authority.
10. Under 18s
The Website, and the gambling services described on it, are intended only for adults aged 18 or over, the minimum gambling age in Australia. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we delete it promptly if a minor sends it. Parents or guardians can write to support@slotrave.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the law, regulatory guidance or the Website itself. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the latest update shown above.
